EsquireX began with an exploration into solving some of the most complex challenges facing lawyers today. We discovered that, apart from the need to make the delivery of legal services more efficient, lawyers are facing formidable challenges in trying to enter the profession, grow their practices, and exit the profession. We identified that some of those main challenges include:

• Securing employment upon entering the profession is very difficult in today’s legal market, as approximately 4 out of 10 lawyers are unable to secure full-time employment within two years out of law school.
  
• Emerging lawyers are hit with the double negative of not being to secure employment and, therefore, not being able to gain the experience usually required just past the entry-level market, and also not gaining the valuable and necessary mentoring in the process.
• Established lawyers are unable to grow or even exit their practices because of the “catch-22” that is created by the tighter legal services profession from their perspective. They can’t accept additional work because they don’t have the time, they can’t hire someone else to help because they can’t afford the additional expense, and they can’t afford the additional expense because they can’t grow their revenue. Additionally, like baby boomers in all other sectors, they are living longer and, therefore, need longer careers and/or retirement to fund so they can’t afford to stop or slow down their practices.

Our vision is to connect lawyers with lawyers and create a community of legal support throughout the United States. We’re here to help lawyers find work quickly and easily. And we’re here to help law firms find exceptional lawyers who can be valuable contributors to the success of those firms. We’re redefining how lawyers practice law together one project at a time.
